Moving box labels by room
Put the room each box is going to on its label, big, in a color for that room, and whoever carries it knows where it goes. Pick your rooms, print, and tape a label on two sides of each box. No sign-up.
Make your labels

2. How many of each

- Living room6 labels1 sheet
- Main bedroom6 labels1 sheet
- Bathroom6 labels1 sheet
A sheet is a page of 6 labels. Two labels a box (one on a side, one on top) is plenty.
24 labels and 4 door signs: 8 pages to print
The PDF has a sheet of labels for each room and a blank one, then their door signs: print just the pages you need. Its labels line up with 6-per-sheet shipping labels (3 1/3 x 4 inches).
Labels that work
- Label the room the box is going to in the new home, not the one it came from.
- Put a label on two sides as well as the top, so it shows when boxes are stacked.
- Number every box and write the number on its label. Then keep a list of what’s in each number.
- Tape each room’s door sign up at the new place, so the people carrying boxes can match the colors without asking.
Keep the list of what’s in each box with our free moving inventory list template.

Want the label to say what’s inside?
A QR label can. BoxTrack makes one for each box: snap what goes in, and scanning the label later shows everything inside, with photos, without opening it. You can search every box at once, too.
First box free. No card needed.
Questions
How should I label moving boxes?
With the room it’s going to, a number, and a few words about what’s inside, on two sides and the top. A color for each room helps whoever carries the boxes, and the numbers let you check that every box arrived.
What paper should I print them on?
Plain paper, taped on with clear packing tape, works fine. For stickers, print the PDF on 6-per-sheet shipping labels (3 1/3 x 4 inches), or on full-sheet label paper and cut along the lines.
Do I need a color printer?
No. The room’s name is printed big on every label, so they work in black and white too. Color just makes boxes quicker to sort.
What’s a QR code label?
A label with a code your phone can scan. With BoxTrack, scanning a box’s QR label shows what’s inside it, with photos, without opening it. Your first box is free.
